I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the Professional Firefighters Association of South Carolina (PFFASC) in my bid for re-election to the Mount Pleasant Town Council. This endorsement means more than words — it represents a shared commitment to protecting the people who protect us.

From day one, I’ve worked to ensure that our firefighters have the tools, training, and support they need to serve our community safely and effectively. Our firefighters face immense challenges — from long hours and demanding calls to the constant pressure of keeping others safe — and they deserve leadership that stands behind them every step of the way.

As the endorsement letter stated:

“Councilman Iacofano has proven to be a strong and steady advocate for both the citizens of Mount Pleasant and the firefighters who protect them.”

That statement humbles me deeply. But it also reminds me why I serve — to make sure our first responders have the resources and respect they’ve earned, and that every family in Mount Pleasant can rely on their safety when it matters most.

We’ve made great progress, but there’s more work ahead. Retaining top talent, modernizing our fire facilities, and ensuring competitive pay and benefits remain essential to keeping our community strong. Together, we can continue building a Mount Pleasant where our firefighters — and every resident — can thrive.

To the PFFASC: thank you for your service, your partnership, and your trust. I’ll continue working every day to honor that trust and to make public safety a top priority for our town.
