As Mount Pleasant heads toward the November 4, 2025 Town Council election, residents want proven leaders who deliver results. During my time on Council, I’ve focused on ensuring taxpayers get the full value of their investment while creating a fairer, more accountable system for all.

Renegotiating the Agreement with CCSD

As Chair of the Education Committee, I spearheaded the renegotiation of Mount Pleasant’s agreement with Charleston County School District (CCSD). This updated agreement ensures residents have greater access to school buildings and facilities, maximizing the return on taxpayer dollars.

---

Formalizing the ATAC Application Process

I helped formalize the ATAC application process, introducing structured applications and clear, consistent questions for all commissions. This ensures fairness and equity in civic engagement, so every applicant is evaluated equally.

---

Commission Equality & Orientation Training

To strengthen local governance, I led the charge for commission equality and orientation training. This initiative ensures commission members are prepared from day one and held accountable throughout their service. Stronger training leads to stronger leadership for Mount Pleasant.

Why It Matters

• Maximizing taxpayer value: Broader use of school facilities residents help fund.
• Fairness in civic service: Equal opportunity for all residents to serve.
• Better governance: Trained, accountable commissions make better decisions for the community.

Looking Ahead to November 4

I am proud of this record of results, and I am running for re-election to Mount Pleasant Town Council to continue this work. From education to transparency, I have consistently put residents first. On November 4th, vote John Iacofano for Town Council — a proven leader committed to education, fairness, and accountability.
