📊 Community Survey Results: What Matters Most to Mount Pleasant Residents?
Over 100 Mount Pleasant residents shared their thoughts in our 2025 Parks & Recreation survey. The results show a clear need for expanded, accessible, and well-maintained recreational spaces—and a demand for faster delivery of promised projects.
🚧 Top Priority Projects
- Rifle Range Road Park was the top priority (51% of responses).
- Mount Pleasant Way Trail was the second-highest (26%).
- Other requests included a Park West Pool, amphitheater, and toddler play areas.

Rifle Range Park tops the list of projects residents want completed.
🚶 Most-Requested Park Features
- Walking and biking trails – 73 votes
- Athletic fields (soccer, lacrosse, football) – 50 votes
- Indoor rec center/gymnasium – 43 votes
- Nature preservation & wildlife access – 50 votes

Trails, green space, and athletic fields lead the list of most valued features.
📉 Residents Want Urgency and Accountability
- 64% are very concerned about project delays
- 89% support fixed timelines and public progress reports
- 92% have used a Mount Pleasant park in the last 3 months
